The Design/Build Process

1. We start with listening to the client’s vision for their house, the size, the features, and finishes.  We want to understand what things are important and what things are not.

2. We generate a project budget range before starting the design phase.   If the preliminary budget range fits with the client’s plans, we move to the design phase.

3. We pair the client with an architect or designer to begin the 8–12-week design process

4. The architect/designer issues a pricing set of preliminary plans that we do a price check on to confirm the project is tracking along the budget range

5. The architect/designer issues a final set of plans, and the client makes final material and finish selections.  We   generate a final project budget.

6. If the final project budget does not fall within the client’s desired price range, plan and/or specification changes are made to bring the final budget into the desired price range.

7. Once the final budget has been approved by the client, we begin the construction process, which will run from 6 to 10 months, depending on the size and complexity of the project.

8. During construction, we will have several meetings with the clients on site to review the progress.

9. When construction is complete, we will have a final inspection with the clients and prepare for move-in.

10. Post move-in, we will do a six-month and twelve-month inspection with the clients to correct any deficiencies.
